As a result of a decade of experience in collaboration with universities and research centers, SSM has extensive expertise in activities related to the research and development and innovation of products, processes and working methods. In most cases, the ideas converge with a written version of a project based on real research, that SSM is able to draw from regional, national and European calls .

DIGITAL PATTERN

Campus for Industrial Development Research Projects and Experimental Developments (Regional funding) of an environment able to manage design and process parameters in order to control and optimize the product development cycle. The project will be applied directly to the development of a demonstrator.

VERO

Campus for Industrial Development Research Projects and Experimental DevelopmentS (Regional funding) and application of new targeted design methodologies for safety, and direct application to the generalized design criteria to the automotive and rail industry.
The project will be applied directly to the development of a demonstrator.

DEMOS

JTI project (EU funding). The project refers to the design, development and testing of a wind tunnel together with an innovative system to improve aerodynamic efficiency and therefore performance the rotating airfoil for helicopter applications.

INSIST

POR Campania ESF project (Regional funding). The Association of Temporary Purpose (ATS), headed by the Second University of Naples, with the resources of ROP Campania ESF, has promoted scholarships open to future graduates in aeronautical, mechanical, materials and aerospace engineering, for the implementation of the project “Technological Innovation in Transport Systems” (INSIST). Two grants relate to the conduct of research activities at our company, which has joined the partnership in the implementation of the project INSIST.

HYCOMPO_2020

DATTILO project “District High Technology Transport and Logistics limited liability consortium “, develops new methods of design of existing structural components and innovative propulsion aimed at reducing vehicle consumption. The project is divided into a line of research aimed at the development and application of new materials and processes for the production of subsystems for which it provides testing of new materials; it also aims at manufacturing technologies and the development of new powertrain systems as part of hybrid drive.

APPS4SAFETY

DATTILO project “District High Technology Transport and Logistics limited liability consortium” develops new designs and safety optical methods for vehicles. In the research project SSM will develop new methodologies and criteria, as well as devices, dedicated to the improvement of active and passive safety performance of the vehicle.
